Bitterly Cold? Keep Water Close!

Hey there Glen Summit Spring Water fans, it seems as though we are in a bit of a cold spell in the South Jersey region, and according to forecasts. it will stay this way for quite a while.  Although many of us will be bundled up tight, only a few of us will be drinking the right amount of water throughout the day.  However, we hope that all of you will be drinking enough water to keep you hydrated as in the warm weather, as it is just as important in the colder season.  Read on to find out more!

No matter the time of year, dehydration can always strike.  It doesn’t matter if it is 100 degrees or -100 degrees outside, you can still get dehydrated.  While it may not seem prevalent in the colder months, drinking water is highly important as your body will spend more energy and resources to keep your body at a comfortable 98.6 degrees.  In the summer, your body needs to cool you down, but in the winter, your body needs to work double-time in order to keep you nice and toasty.  The more your body works, the more resources it needs to consume, and therefore the more water you need to drink throughout the day.

So the next time you plan to be out in the cold for an extended period of time, down a glass of water before heading out.  You’ll be that much ahead of the game by doing so, and your body will thank you later for it.

Running a little short on fresh spring water?  Give us a call today and we’ll run you over some in no time, no matter how cold it is outside!
