7-7-16Hey there Glen Summit fans, happy Thursday!  To celebrate this week coming to a close, we thought we would share with you a cool fact about water!

We all know water freezes into ice, but did you know that not all water freezes equally?  In fact, hot water will freeze faster than cold water.  This phenomenon has been the topic of rigorous debate for centuries on end, with academia giants such as Aristotle, Francis Bacon, and Rene Descartes going against the commonly accepted stigma that cold water would turn to ice faster.  However, recent studies have confirmed the truth behind this claim, and researchers at the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, found that water’s chemical bonds allows hot water to freeze faster than cold water.

Water can do some pretty amazing things, and we are still finding out about the wondrous things it can do day by day.  To see for yourself the cool things water can do, whether it be for your body or for the world of applied physics, give us a call today for a delivery of our fresh spring water.

Have a great weekend, Glen Summit Spring Water fans!
