One Size Does Not Fit All

Home / News / One Size Does Not Fit All

8-9-16In life, there are many instances where one size does fit everyone, like hats.  On the other hand, most things in life need to be expertly tailored for your individual use, and water intake is one of them.  Despite the general consensus out there, water intake is dependent on your body type, and there is no blanket solution for everyone out there.

As a general rule of thumb, many health experts and nutritionists recommend that people drink 8, 8-ounce glasses of water per day, commonly referred to as the “8 by 8″ rule.  However, that number can change based on your body type and level of exercise.  A 5’11”, 170 pound male who exercises for less than an hour, for example, will need a little over 12 8-ounce glasses of water per day.  Water intake is just a guideline, and nothing more, and should be taken as such.

At a bare minimum, we recommend following the health experts’ guideline of the “8 by 8” rule, and and expand it as you see fit.  Over-hydration can occur, but only after an exorbitant amount of water has been consumed, so feel free to consume as much water as you please, just within reason.

To get a head start on your daily hydration, give us a call today, and we can run you over enough spring water to last you until the end of the month, even while following the “8 by 8” rule.

Stay hydrated out there, Glen Summit Spring Water Fans!
