Distilled water is a type of water that has had all of its impurities removed by distillation, which is a process in which water is boiled and the steam is collected and condensed in another container. By and removing all the impurities from water, the purity level increases, making it suitable for science experiments and disinfection.
However, by removing the impurities from water, this water is not as suitable for drinking as spring water is. Distillation removes most of the minerals that spring water contains, which are vital for human health, hydration, and well being. Some health-figures believe that drinking distilled water is better for your health than drinking spring water, but the jury is still out on that.
