We all know that we need to drink water, but we know that it can be real challenging to do so.  Well, we can say that you reluctant hydrators out there are not alone.  Join us today, as we go over some quick and easy ways you can get yourself to drink more water—without you even thinking about it!

Break it Down

A task is its simplest when you can break it down into bite-sized chunks.  Drinking water is no different.  Simply figure out how much water you want to drink throughout the day, and break it down by hour, or by half hour.  Set a goal for yourself saying, “By the end of this hour, I need to drink a full glass of water.”  So long as you stick to this schedule, you should have no problem meeting your initial goal!

Set a Record, and Try to Break It

For the more competitive out there, this is a fantastic way to keep your hydration up to par.  All you need to do is find out how much water you are willing to drink in a day—without much other motivations, and then try to break it in the subsequent days.  Think of it as trying to set a personal record on the track, and then trying to break it all the time.  If winning is your type of thing, then this strategy is a win-win—breaking your own record and staying hydrated!

Make a Game

Parents out there can make a hydration game with your kids to see who can drink the most water throughout the day.  Set up a dry-erase board, and mark tallies for the number of glasses everyone has had.  In no time, you will find both you and your kids in a much better mood from sufficient hydration.

Drinking water can be hard, but it doesn’t have to stay that way.  Employ these strategies today to see how much water you can drink…willingly!
