Keeping Water at the Beach

6-21-16Happy summer, Glen Summit Spring Water fans!  The blissful summer is finally here, which means days on the beach and late nights out by the fire are all within reach!

However, before you head off to get your toes sunk in the sand , be sure to pack a lot of water with you!  Being on the beach is fun, but it’s surely a quick way for you to get dehydrated, even if you are just laying in the sun!  Make sure you have at least one bottle of water per hour you will be outside, and be sure to actually drink them.  If you plan to be active at the beach by swimming or playing ball, bring more water with you.  It is always better to have and not need than to need and not have.

Also, please be sure to properly dispose of the bottles after you are done.  An empty water bottle on the beach can wind up in the ocean, or be mistakenly thought of as food by the local wildlife.  Do yourself and the environment a favor and put the empty bottles back into the cooler or into another trash bag.

Days on the beach are fun, but cutting them short due to dehydration can sure be a downer.  Be smart this summer, and make sure you plan to hydrate!
